When you receive
the bottles at home Lay them on
their side in the cellar, remote from a source of heat, cold, or light, for a
two to four week period.
Serving - Sediment :
very often in the course of ageing, it a sediment appears. Dont be
puzzled. It is a sign of quality. When about to serve, pour the wine very
slowly into a decanter. A candle can be used to observe the wine through the
bottleneck. - Dishes : Château Verdus wines go with almost
everything. They suit food made with red meats, game, foies-gras, and cheese
(camembert, Roquefort
). If possible, always drink the youngest or
lightest wine before the oldest or the strongest wine. |
|
- Wine breathing : open the bottle 1
or 2 hours before serving. Decanting the wine will help the bouquet to develop.
- Best temperature : around 17° to 18°C The wine must be chambered
away from a heat source.
